Atlantic Canada E-Fuels Project
ECF is advancing an e-methanol and e-SAF project in Atlantic Canada. The project will be located on one of two potential industrial sites under negotiation (New Brunswick or Nova Scotia) both options co-located/adjacent to an active pulp/paper mill site and will use biogenic carbon from waste or residuals from sustainable managed forests and clean electricity as feedstock for e-methanol and e-SAF. Backed by Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, the project would produce low-carbon marine and aviation fuels using green hydrogen, biogenic CO₂ and clean electricity.
Province or territory: UNKNOWN · Source-described stage: Pre-feasibility · Source location: Two candidate industrial sites in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia

How BuildAtlas reads this record
The Atlantic Canada E-Fuels Project is a source-described export-oriented clean-fuels proposal. It makes the Atlantic chain legible: renewable electricity and hydrogen conversion must meet synthesis, port, offtake, and permitting requirements together.
What to keep in view
- Requires: power generation, hydrogen production, deep water port capacity.
- Dependencies: renewable power, electrolyser supply, marine logistics.
- Open constraints: power availability, financing and offtake, environmental assessment.
What this page does not establish
A source-described stage, capital figure, or proposed capability is not the same as completed construction, committed financing, operating output, or guaranteed delivery. BuildAtlas keeps those distinctions visible.
